The book on Ramkinkar Vaij’s sculptures, authored by Devi Prasad and published by Tulika Books in India in 2007, stands as a tribute to the artist on his centenary. It features a comprehensive photographic study of over 60 sculptures meticulously captured by Devi Prasad during his tenure as a Visiting Professor at Santiniketan in 1978. The front cover showcases Ramkinkar’s iconic works, Yaksha-A and Yakshin-E, in plaster-of-paris, while the back cover and flap display photographs by Devi Prasad and Parthiv Shah respectively. Designed by Parthiv Shah of CMAC with assistance from Shraboni Roy, the book highlights Ramkinkar’s artistic journey, supplemented by insights into his life and works from his students, friends, and associates.
