The Center for Media and Alternative Communication (CMAC), New Delhi, invites applications for the position of Multimedia Content Producer to support its ongoing projects in the field of culture, media, and digital communication.

We are looking for a creative and technically skilled individual who can handle video podcast productionshort-form video creationaudio recording, and editing for social media platforms. The position involves shooting, sound management, editing, and designing visually engaging content that aligns with CMAC’s cultural and media initiatives.

Eligibility & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Film Studies, Mass Communication, Media Production, Visual Communication, or related fields (candidates with strong portfolios may apply regardless of degree).
• Demonstrated experience in shooting video podcasts, interviews, or documentary-style content.
• Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar).
• Basic skills in audio recording, sound cleanup, and podcast editing.
• Ability to create short reels, clips, and social media–ready content, including simple motion graphics.
• A strong sense of visual storytelling and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Shoot and manage video podcast sessions, interviews, and short-format content.
• Handle audio setup, recording, and basic sound engineering for podcast and video shoots.
• Edit long-form podcasts and create short clips/reels optimized for social media platforms.
• Produce visually engaging graphics and motion elements for digital content.
• Work with the CMAC team to conceptualize and deliver multimedia content for ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Maintain organized media archives and manage file workflows.

We are looking for a researcher with a keen interest in cultural studies, particularly in areas related to music, performance, and media cultures. The position involves research, analysis, and writing for projects exploring intersections of culture, communication, and society.

Eligibility & Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in History, Sociology, Literature, Cultural Studies, or Gender Studies (candidates from related disciplines may also apply).
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in music and cultural research.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research, documentation, and analysis for CMAC’s ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Contribute to report writing, publications, and other outputs.

Are you a seasoned journalist with a strong commitment to gender equity in media?
The Centre for Media and Alternative Communication (CMAC) is seeking an experienced journalist to join a transformative project aimed at sensitizing journalism students and early-career journalists on gender issues in media practice.
This role is ideal for a journalist who can go beyond reporting to research, write, and conceptualize a practical toolkit and curriculum for journalism education with a gender lens.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and write a user-friendly gender sensitization toolkit tailored to journalism students and young professionals.
Design a curriculum or training module suitable for academic institutions and journalism training centers.
Conduct relevant research to ensure the content is evidence-based and locally grounded.
Collaborate with CMAC’s team and external partners to refine and validate the content.
Contribute to the project’s thought leadership on gender and media.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience as a journalist, preferably with work focused on gender, social issues, or media reform.
Strong skills in writing, research, and educational content development.
Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and deliver structured learning material.
Familiarity with gender issues in journalism and the broader media landscape.
Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.

Desirable:
Experience in curriculum development, journalism training, or advocacy work.
Prior engagement with media education institutions or NGOs.

  • Program Officer

We are looking to hire program officer for a multi-media communication campaign on sexual and reproductive health issues for young people with disabilities.

Responsibilities:

a) Create content for communication tools on appropriate themes. This will be done through close collaboration with project partners who are seeking specific communication strategies for the community and their caregivers. vis-à-vis SRH communication issues for the disabled.
b) Arriving at a well-developed and deployable communication strategy through the use of multi-media products.
c) Identifying networks and organizations as potential partners.
d) Supervising production of communication products.
e) Working closely with the project team and consultants.
Content will be developed to focus on: young people with disabilities, parents of disabled children, educators and institutional staff.

Candidate Profile

a. Qualification – Masters in Social Sciences/ Mass Communication and Journalism/ Development studies/Social Design/Gender Studies/Arts and Culture Management / Film, Video and Radio Production
b. Experience – Minimum one year work experience in managing development/ art/culture/media/communication projects.
c. Skills – Excellent fieldwork skills, strong communication skills (verbal and written), computer proficient in FCP, Premier Pro, Audio software and internet abled. Technical skills and creativity in Film, Video and Radio production will be a plus.
