National Literacy Mission

Learning to Live
As part of the “Learning to Live” campaign of the National Literacy Mission, a unique exhibition of 25 panels has been brought together by CMAC. These panels evoke thoughts and dialogues on oral traditions such as “Guru-Shishya parampara”. It was visited by thousands of school children besides teachers from all over India and is a permanent exhibition at the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).

Second Struggle for Freedom
As part of the “Second Struggle for Freedom” campaign of the National Literacy Mission, CMAC created two television spots, which were aired on Doordarshan. Focusing on problems of “Agyan Aur Andh-Shraddha” (illiteracy and superstition), the television campaign provided a platform for a discussion on the significance and struggles for greater literacy in India.
