Art As Witness
Art As Witness was a photo-exhibition curated by Parthiv Shah and jointly conceived by CMAC & Amnesty International, India. The exhibition featured images by eminent photographers from all over the world on the harsh realities of day-to-day life as experienced by ordinary people in South Asian zones; and specifically, of infringes from India to Pakistan, Malaysia, Iran, Myanmar and Bangladesh. CMAC was the main curator of the exhibition.
Art as Witness was released as a book allied with exalted individuals like Shanti Bhushan (Lawyer and Civil rights Activist) and Ashis Nandy (Sociologist and Writer).The book was jointly edited by Parthiv Shah & Sana Das, Published by Tulika Books, New Delhi in the year 2010.

Voices of Dignity
Art As Witness was initiated in context of the ‘Art for Activism’ project sponsored by Amnesty International, India. As a part of ‘Voices of Dignity’, it was celebrated alongside the 60th-anniversary of UDHR (Universal Declaration of Human Rights) & World Dignity Day. UDHR & IWJF (International Week of Justice Festival) together allowed a significant encouragement of human right awareness and action through idealistic creations, art, education and media.
